Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 9, 2026

Introduction

LittleGames.ai ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Playful Intelligence LLC, is an AI-powered educational gaming platform designed for children ages 4–7. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children and complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and all applicable privacy laws.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices parents and guardians have regarding their child's information.

Information We Collect

We collect virtually no personal information.

  • No accounts required. Children can play without creating an account, providing a name, email address, or any personal information.
  • No personal information from children. We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, photos, or any other personal identifiers from children.
  • Game session data.During gameplay, word choices and spelling progress are stored temporarily in the browser's memory only. This data is never sent to our servers or stored persistently. It is erased when the browser tab is closed.
  • AI interactions. When a child plays our games, their in-game selections (such as word choices in Silly Story Builder or letters tapped in Rex's Spelling Kitchen) are sent to our server to generate AI-powered content. These selections contain no personal information and are not stored after the response is generated.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Names, email addresses, or contact information from children
  • Photos, videos, or audio recordings
  • Precise geolocation data
  • Device identifiers or persistent cookies for tracking
  • Behavioral or interest-based advertising profiles
  • Social media account information

COPPA Compliance

We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Specifically:

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
  • Since our service does not collect personal information from children, parental consent is not required to use our games.
  • We do not condition a child's participation in any activity on the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary.
  • Parents can contact us at any time to review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's information (see Contact section below).

Advertising and Tracking

We do not display any advertisements.

  • No ads of any kind are shown to children.
  • We do not use behavioral tracking, interest-based advertising, or retargeting.
  • We do not share any data with advertising networks or data brokers.
  • We do not use third-party analytics services that track individual users.

AI Content Safety

Our games use artificial intelligence to generate educational content. We implement multiple layers of safety:

  • AI system prompts are specifically designed to produce only age-appropriate, positive, and educational content.
  • Server-side content filters screen all AI-generated text before it reaches children.
  • Blocked word lists prevent inappropriate content from being displayed.
  • AI-generated word choices are validated for age-appropriateness before being presented.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Vercel— Hosts our website. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, access times). These logs do not identify individual children and are subject to Vercel's privacy policy.
  • OpenAI— Powers our AI content generation. Game selections (not personal information) are sent to OpenAI's API to generate stories and educational content. OpenAI's API does not retain this data for training purposes.
  • Stripe— Processes payments for subscriptions. Payment information is collected from parents only (not children) and is handled entirely by Stripe in compliance with PCI DSS standards. We never see or store credit card numbers.

We do not use any third-party services for the purpose of tracking, profiling, or advertising to children.

Data Retention

We retain virtually no data. Game session data (word choices, spelling progress, cupcake counts) exists only in the browser's memory during active gameplay and is automatically erased when the session ends. We do not maintain databases of children's activity.

Data Security

All data transmitted between the user's device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Since we do not store personal information, the risk of a data breach affecting children's privacy is minimal.

Parents' Rights

Parents and guardians have the right to:

  • Review any personal information we have collected about their child (we collect none).
  • Request deletion of any personal information (we store none).
  • Refuse to allow any further collection of their child's information.
  • Contact us with any questions or concerns about our privacy practices.

International Users (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with similar data protection laws:

  • Our lawful basis for any minimal data processing is legitimate interest in providing the service.
  • You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing.
  • Since we collect no personal data from children, these rights are effectively satisfied by default.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes that affect how we handle children's information, we will provide prominent notice on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised.
