About ooli

Who is ooli for?

Kids aged 4 to 7, and the grown-ups who want their screen time to count. The games start with rhymes, first sounds, straight-line letters and counting, and grow with your kid into spelling, shapes and patterns, feelings, music and the planets.

When can we get it?

ooli is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone and iPad. We're letting a small group of families try the beta first, a few at a time. Join the beta or ask us to email you the day it launches.

Does it work on iPhone and iPad?

Yes, both. ooli is made for iPhone and iPad together. Sign in with the same email and each kid's ooli and progress follow them to every iPhone and iPad you sign in on.

Can my kids share one iPhone or iPad?

Yes. Each kid gets their own profile with their own ooli, skill map and limits, up to 6 kids in one family. Switching is a tap on “Who's playing?”.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Sign in once with the internet on, and after that every game plays offline.

Is there an Android version?

Not at launch. We're starting with iPhone and iPad. Tell us at support@playfulintelligence.co if you'd use one.

Learning

What does “plays at their level” mean?

Every answer your kid gives updates a map of small skills, like the sound of “sh” or counting to 10. The map is shared across games, so a letter learned in one game counts in the others.

Each round is built from that map: mostly what they're working on now, some spaced-out review of things that were shaky, and a few easy wins. The games aim for a sweet spot where your kid gets about 4 in 5 right. Your kid never sees a level, a score or a grade.

What will I see as a parent?

Each kid has a Learning page behind your grown-up passcode: what they've got, where they're moving fast, what needs more practice, questions to ask them tonight, and every change ooli made for them and why. It updates after every round. There are no grades and no comparing kids.

How does ooli use AI?

ooli's AI is our own learning engine. It works out what your kid knows from how they play, and picks what to practise next. It runs on your kid's device.

Kids never chat with AI or type to it, nothing they do trains any AI, and their story picks never leave the device.

Safety and privacy

What do you know about my kid?

Only what the games need: a nickname you choose, an age (4, 5, 6 or 7+), their progress and skill map, and the things they make and earn. It stays on their device until you sign in and give consent.

We never ask for a real name, photo, birthday, voice or location, and we never sell or share it or use it for ads. You can see it, download it or delete it any time. Our privacy policy has every detail.

Is ooli COPPA compliant?

Yes. We built ooli to follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act from day one: we collect as little as possible, a parent gives consent before anything about a kid leaves the device, and parents can review and delete it. We check ourselves against the FTC's rule and Apple's Kids Category rules. Read our Kid Safety Promise.

Are there ads or in-app purchases?

No ads, ever, and nothing for kids to buy: no coins, no gems, no extras. Anything to do with money sits behind your grown-up passcode.

How do I delete our data?

Sign in to the Parent Hub and choose Privacy. You can delete one kid, take back consent, or delete your whole account. Or email support@playfulintelligence.co and we'll do it for you.

Screen time

Can I limit screen time?

Yes. Behind your grown-up passcode, each kid has a daily limit and a bedtime lock. When time's up, Rex says goodnight and the island goes to sleep until morning. There's no upsell and no “just one more”.

Pricing

How much does it cost?

Free for 7 days, then $6.99 a month or $49.99 a year. One plan covers every kid in your family (up to 6). No ads, no coins, and nothing for kids to buy. More on pricing.
